THE Haute-Garonne fire station HAS ACQUIRED 17 LEADER TIC THERMAL CAMERAS!
The Haute-Garonne fire station (SDIS 31 in FRANCE) has just acquired 17 new LEADER TIC 3 thermal fire cameras which will eventually equip all their vans with a second delivery scheduled for February 2021.
LEADER TIC 3.1 firefighter thermal cameras are versatile: They can be used in search of victims, during attack phases, search for hot spots, progression in smoke and also electrical risks!
They are also very easy to use: a single button switches between the two operating modes:
- "fire" for displaying all hot spots up to 1,100 ° C,
- “victim search” where only the hottest spots (people) are displayed.
The users (two firefighters per center) received on this occasion a short training in their use, as well as specific training in infrared waves for the interpretation of thermal imaging in operation (Indeed, LEADER supports and training in the use of all its fire equipment).
Note that the fire simulator of the Daniel Miguel firefighting techniques training center located on the Muret site will also be equipped with a LEADER TIC firefighter thermal camera allowing real-time transmission of images on a television to educational purposes.
