FLOWMATIC compact automatic nozzle training for fire instructors at EDIS 21

ON FRIDAY 9 FEBRUARY, A SPECIAL TRAINING COURSE WAS GIVEN AT THE DEPARTMENTAL FIRE AND RESCUE SCHOOL of la côte d'or, AS PART OF THE nozzle market 2023 WITH THE COMPANY LEADER.

The aim of the training was to introduce fire instructors to the use and maintenance of the FLOWMATIC compact automatic nozzle. This nozzle is renowned for its simplicity of use and its optimised jet and flow rate settings, making it an essential tool in firefighting.

Designed for optimum efficiency, it has an automatic pressure regulation system that enables it to maintain its range even when the pressure drops, while offering the possibility of practising Pulsing from 2 bars.

The flow rate of LEADER automatic fire nozzles is controlled solely by the operating handle. As soon as the user acts on the handle to reduce or increase the flow rate of the FLOWMATIC nozzle, the nozzle immediately adjusts to maintain the desired range:

  • the automatic pressure regulation system acts like a spring to compensate for pressure variations and maintain a constant pressure at the nozzle. Like a pressure damper, it adapts the nozzle diameter to maintain a high-performance jet.
  • the sliding ball guarantees a perfect, turbulence-free flow. It minimises water hammer and allows the handle to open and close gradually.

The compact FLOWMATIC lance will enable firefighters to be more effective when responding to fires in confined spaces. Its deployment in the SDIS 21's 4 new FPTSRs, currently being delivered, demonstrates the confidence placed in this technology to ensure the safety of people and property.
