USE OF LEADER SCAN DURING A TUNNEL COLLAPSE IN THAILAND
On Saturday, August 24, 2024, a tunnel under construction in northeastern Thailand collapsed, trapping three workers under the wreckage.
Rescue teams quickly mobilized search and rescue equipment (USAR), including the LEADER SCAN.
This ground-penetrating radar equipment was used to detect even the slightest movements of the victims through the rubble. With ultra-sensitive sensors, the LEADER SCAN can also indicate the depth at which the victim is located, thereby aiding in the localization efforts.
